Karting is a very fast sport and has a huge public worldwide. The races are held vary from club races on local circuits to National Championships and World Championships on different places in the world
"Karting is the breeding ground for motorsport talent" is sometimes said. And indeed many successful race drivers have learned the basics in the kartsport in which they raced at a young age on the cutting edge. Because who can write races on his or her name, with the bottom two inches above the ground, rapid accelerating, and surrounded by other equally sharp steering and win-hungry drivers, must have a mentality and vehicle control which is needed in all types of motorsport to finish at front.
Several famous racing car drivers have started there racing careers in karting.
And almost all Formula 1 drivers drive kart regularly because that feeling is coming the closest to that in a Formula 1 racing car.
